ISDN Connection

Description: ISDN is a dialup service generally used by residential and small business users that want more speed than 56k can offer. It uses an ISDN modem and runs on a special ISDN, dual channel phone line.

Reliability: Faster and more reliable than 56k, ISDN does require a special phone line which is more expensive than a standard phone line. ISDN is considered personal service by Ameritech for repair urgency.

What to expect: Once you order an ISDN account with Quantum Connections, you can expect your account to be set up within 2-4 business days. Since a special ISDN phone line is needed, you will need to contact your telephone company for more installation information and a time frame for the line installation. Once the line is installed, you can connect to Quantum Connections using a new dialup that you can set up yourself or with the help of one of our trained support technicians.
