St. Joseph is a unique community embraced by the waters of the St. Joseph River and Lake Michigan. Its 9,500 residents enjoy many parks, including Lake Bluff Park which displays outdoor sculpture and memorials, as well as a memorable view of the symbol of the city--a historical lighthouse (one of two remaining range light systems with both towers and catwalks intact).

Because of its natural and cultural resources, St. Joseph has become the center of Berrien County events and festivals. The city boasts two public beaches and is also home to the famous Silver Beach. In the historic downtown business district, there are over 75 specialty shops, restaurants and attractions.
